High-spirited, confident and headstrong, Cayde would probably be one of the first to die in a horror movie. He always seems to be outwardly positive and approachable, warm and friendly to everyone around him. He’s not the sharpest of people, but he has a big heart and an intense sense of justice and empathy. Cayde is a very emotional person, and it isn’t something he tries very hard to hide, easy to push to tears whether that be out of joy or distress. Being so emotive, he becomes passionate about things quite easily and will defend his beliefs with fervor.  

He can be fairly impulsive, often acting without thinking and getting himself into trouble for it, as much as he tries to stay out of trouble. It takes quite a lot to anger him, unless you know exactly what buttons to press, as often displayed by Flynn. Otherwise, he’s pretty soft and tolerant towards people trying to bother him. He does have some wit about him though, throwing out the occasional sharp remark. Reliable and attentive, he’s had enough time to work his head around the ways of the battlefield and is quite the optimistic teammate. He often looks forward to meeting new people and uses his travels as an opportunity to befriend others. Despite his lackadaisy and upbeat manner, he knows when a more serious approach is needed and never shies away from combat. 

Cayde is strongly driven by an almost idealistic need for change, deeply hopeful and inspired to see the world become a better and stronger place. If asked about it he’d admit it was a little silly with how bleak things always seem to be, but he likes to think little by little they’re making a change.
