"Sometimes I feel like he's the only one I can trust."
It goes without saying that Darien and Benji are extremely close. He loves his brother dearly and trusts him wholly. He's feeling particularly appreciative of Benji after a recent rough patch, in which Benji made sure to regularly check up on him. He misses his brother, he wishes they could spend more time together.
Adrian
Current feelings: Vibing
"He's pretty funny."
Outside of work, any in person contact he's had with Adrian has been sparse, usually interacting with the mechanic via comms. Those conversations are usually greatly amusing to Darien, however.
Akiko

"She'd be cooler if she liked lizards."
His extent of interaction with Akiko was fixing her eyes, which was something he was happy to help with. Unfortunately, she runs every time he's seen with a lizard or shares them over comms, so that's kinda disappointing for him.
Aristotle

"Ain't the sharpest guy."
His first real conversation with Aristotle involved Aristotle assuming Darien was a child for his careless antics of releasing lizards into the infirmary. Unfortunately, this just led to Darien assuming the guy was a bit dull, when the actual idiot here is him.
Barber
Current feelings: Confused
"What's their deal?"
Their relationship was off to a rocky start the moment Darien made a rude remark, but it only got worse from there. After getting into an argument with about robot ethics were his understanding was unfortunately misplaced, Darien is under the impression Barber is a Guards sympathiser, and that makes him wary. He is however grateful for their efforts to look out for Sen.
Beatrice
Current feelings: Reluctant
"She seems nice."
Every encounter he's had with Bee he's tried to avoid her, more so out of his own inability to lie and not wanting to keep secrets. But even when he acts so irrationally weird around her, she's always nice to him. It makes him feel pretty bad.
Brian
Current feelings: Concerned
"I won't forgive you for what you did to my hair."
Brian and Darien hit it off as buddies pretty quickly, a friendship quickly forming out of bickering and teasing. Brian even got to straighten his hair at one point, which Darien regrets. Lately, he's worried about Brian. He knows that he's struggling with Hamlet's death, he's just trying to find it in him to reach out.
Callisto
Current feelings: Worried
"Take care out there."
The last time Darien saw Callisto was on their mission to Eden. He can only assume that the poor guy has since passed away there... or worse, been turned into a simulata.
Carlton
Current feelings: Confused
"I wonder if he's a real person."
Darien is pretty certain he has literally never seen Carlton in person, but he sure knows he's interacted with him over communications. Darien kind of enjoys getting a reaction out of the guy, but overall Carlton just confuses him. At least Carlton is consistent?
Canary

"I'm gonna finish that curtain soon."
Canary is a friendly face to Darien. They haven't spoken a ton, but she's someone he thinks would be cool to get to know. She taught him how to make beaded lizards which is something he's extremely happy about.
Chuck
Current feelings: Grateful
"Thanks for stopping by."
Darien became extremely isolated after Hamlet passed away, struggling with the grief of losing his best friend. Chuck checked up on him a lot during that time, hanging out just to chat and smoke. It helped Darien more than he knows. He also enjoys their lizard meetups.
Crow
Current feelings: Cautious
"How's my other half?"
Something about Crow Corbin sets off alarm bells for Darien. The man is a weasel if he's ever seen one, and Darien doesn't like that. He doesn't feel like he could ever be relaxed around Crow. Still, the guy is funny, he's real entertaining and makes a great ratman. Darien really enjoys bothering Crow. There's certainly a feeling of reward in making the guy squirm, whether that be getting him with a pressure washer or finding the right buttons to press.
Dunya
Current feelings: Unsure
"Well, I hope you're happy."
Dunya is consistently a confusing presence for Darien. She knows how to press his buttons and get on his nerves, leaving Darien frequently frozen around here. Though, she slowly grew on him, bonding especially well over their love for reptiles. Unfortunately, most recently Darien has found himself taking a step back from Dunya after an argument that left him... confused. He doesn't understand what he did wrong.
Dom
Current feelings: Acknowlegement
"We work together surprisingly well."
Dom was someone Darien was pretty wary of to begin with, with honestly very little reason other than misjudging him. Though over time working with Dom and eventually seeing him promoted to head mechanic besides him, he's grown more fond of him. He can respect a job well done, and Dom always delivers.
Ehsan
Current feelings: Content
"Sorry I skipped therapy."
Ehsan is currently Darien's therapist, and Darien never thought he'd say that he's happy about that. He appreciates Ehsan's efforts to make him comfortable during their talks, and can also appreciate the therapist's closeness to his brother. He respects Ehsan, even if he doesn't understand his analogies.
Eifa
Current feelings: Confused
"What do you mean we're related?"
Remember that 'she's a bit like an annoying aunt' line from the old entry? Funny story. Turns out they're related, at least in some capacity, not that either of them know exactly how. Darien doesn't know what to make of that.
Eden
Current feelings: Content
"It's funny seeing them on comms."
Darien has only briefly interacted with Eden over comms, and in one instance where they dragged him along to visit Nimmy- which was humorous in itself, since he didn't actually even know Nimmy. Darien finds it funny to rile Edie up over comms with Chuck.
Graeme
Current feelings: Close
"I found another lizard!"
Darien has known Graeme for the better part of his life, having grown up around the scout. He's always enjoyed Graeme's presence and encouragement, and finds Graeme to be a pretty safe presence. He also appreciates that Graeme looks out for his brother. He's also very thankful that Graeme let Darien use his many pockets for lizard storage (and by extension, helped take his mind off a rough event).
Hamlet
Current feelings: Hurting
"I'll still visit you, okay?"
Hamlet's death was unexpected. Hamlet was someone Darien has an immense amount of admiration for, and was one of his best friends. Darien opened up to Hamlet in ways he'd never opened up to anyone else, and treasured him deeply. The grief caused by losing Hamlet will follow him for a long time. He misses him.
Karol
Current feelings: Relief
"Maybe hell can fit one android."
Darien never stopped being wary of Karol, thoughts of how to handle the man occupying his mind frequently. Now that Karol is gone, Darien only feels relief that Salus is rid of him, and that his brother is safe. If Karol had a grave, he'd spit on it.
Max
Current feelings: Hyped
"Lizard cup!"
Darien has had little interaction with Max, but definitely enjoyed their discussion about lizards and their mutual agreement to hound Sunday for his pottery skills. They have a goal.
Morris
Current feelings: Reassured
"Thanks for the chat."
The only real conversation Darien has managed to have with Morris was upon their return from Eden, where they talked about their connection to Wolfgang. It helped him to feel they had made the right decision to leave Wolfgang behind.
Meg

"You're not who I thought you were."
Broken trust isn't something Darien really ever heals from, but life goes on. They're a distant memory, now.
Nova
Current feelings: Loved
"She's like a sister to me."
Nova has always been so unconditionally kind to him, it's no wonder he warmed to the little comet so fast. They go out of their way to look after each other, and he trusts her more than most. He's grateful for the support she's been offering to him while he's been grieving.
Nethy
Current feelings: Nostalgic
"Do ya remember when we were kids?"
Nethy is someone Darien connected with first in his childhood, in a brief period he and Benji passed through Europa. He remembers actually enjoying the time spent around Nethy, bonding over their similar natures and love for chasing around wildlife. He hasn't had the proper chance to catch up with her yet since she came to Salus, but still holds a nostalgic sense of respect for her.
Odd
Current feelings: Unsure
"What is going on?"
Darien thinks Odd is cool, he likes his energy and enjoys the antics that he's been involved in with Odd, even if there haven't been many. He's pretty sure they could be pretty good friends. But since hearing about the conflict between Odd and Silas, Darien has felt a little confused. He feels for both parties, but doesn't want to overstep by asking Odd about his thoughts on it all. He doesn't feel close enough to him for that.
Ruddy

"Yee-fucking-haw."
There's no doubt that Rudolph is someone that intimidates Darien. So naturally, Darien has taken it upon himself to bother and inconvenience Ruddy as much as possible. Its pretty fun to pester him. Granted, the constant shenanigans have maybe let Darien develop just a little bit of a fondness for the cowboy, despite maintaining his wariness of Ruddy. Its not like he's shot him- the paint gun doesn't count.
Sunday
Current feelings: Reunuited
"He sure is Sunday alright."
Things had always been a little rocky between the two strong personalities but Darien had considered Sunday a friend. That was until Sunday accidentally outed Darien and Darien became avoidant and resentful of the other. After a long while of finding himself followed by a rough event, he finally reached out to Sunday to make amends, and is glad to have his friend back.
Yves
Current feelings: Uneasy
"I don't know what you want me to say."
Darien had considered Yves a friend, especially when they were younger and would go out wandering together. Time and circumstance left them distant, with Yves leaving Salus for some time. Things didn't get better when he came back. He doesn't blame Yves for what happened, but he can't pretend he isn't uneasy around the other.
Silas
Current feelings: Sympathetic
"Don't go away too"
Darien doesn't think anyone understands him the way Silas does, because they're so damn alike. Even in the way they grieve. He'd been missing Silas too during the time they both spent isolating, and Hamlet's funeral was the wake up call he needed to not loose another friend as collateral. He's determined to be there for Silas through this.
Shiv

"pretty cool."
He's only had two run-ins with Shiv, first at the eifa-relation party, and secondly on the mission to deal with the kitty bot. He thinks she seems pretty cool, even if he did say she looked like a smoker. He didn't mean it like that!
Senreyl
Current feelings: Thankful
"Calm it down, Shrimpy."
Sen is another person Darien friended through first fighting with them. At first he wasn't particularly fond of Sen, finding her treatment of him after knocking Silas out a little ridiculous, since in his mind he did what he needed to. He found it pretty funny when she tried to fight him and got her ass kicked though. Since then, he helped Sen out with her training, and even more recently found himself becoming closer to her after she helped in supporting him after Hamlet's death. He sees her like a little sister.
Simon

"Sorry for beating you up. Not sorry for beating him up."
Coming to see Simon as Simon was a bit of a learning curve for Darien. He wasn't so sure about it all at first, already extremely wary of Karol. But after a finally having a conversation with Simon to clear up some concerns, he's more comfortable with the other. This was furthered by Simon stopping in to visit him post Hamlet's death, giving him unexpected comfort that he greatly needed.
