Timeline
Earth has begun to degrade further from different catalysts, including mutually assured destruction. Earth’s environment quickly becomes near unsustainable; A committee is formed to attempt to unite the current public by a common cause and banner through a united nation. This committee was given the name Antares.
As biomes originally planned by former heads of state were built and given to the populus, Antares had started to lay laws and began their intensive control over the populace. They successfully integrated those they deemed worthy into the biomes. In the end, it was not enough. Therefore they began to sort out portions of the population, testing for those who could and couldn’t meet their standards. The privileged were prioritised.
Antares began to wipe out individuals outside the biomes and protestors amongst the work-force. During this time, they also began to terraform mars by constructing domes and sectioning out regional areas for people to live in. Thus began a narrative to frame those outside the Biomes as an invasive species of alien, trying to take over during their crisis.
The committee completely cuts the population and begins their move to mars, all while also maintaining a certain level of the working-class and blue-collar individuals to keep and use them to finish construction on mars. To the public, they spoke of a better life and utopia free of suffering all while fully separating people into classism. As time goes on a controlled famine breaks out. In reality, it was revolutionaries who were suffering under the reign of Mars not enjoying the authoritarian regime's grip upon the lower classes. Antares convinced the upper classes that these individuals were aligned with the aliens and were actively trying to disrupt society.
Propaganda continues and gets worse and the committee now has full control over the smaller population. They build a puppet democracy to placate society and erase the dredges as well as evidence of them existing on a specific level. Antares' form changes over time and takes on the disguise of an embassy, choosing a more covert identity. Their puppets act in place as connections to the public. During this period of time, the dwindling planet and population of earth, lose their names and identities to mars. Once humans, now aliens. Once Earth, now R-001.
Those left on Earth must now survive constant attacks, all while forced to continue adapting to the degraded atmosphere. Mars continues to use Earth as a resource planet, using the old biomes reconstructed technology inside as a means of research, domination, and food resources for their society. To fill said biomes with workers, Mars turns to the military, researchers, and even those being punished.
Reports from biomes indicate proof Earth has begun to heal, thus forcing Antares to make changes in order to keep a semblance of control over the planet. Frequent raids upon established Biomes have begun decimating the supply chain as well, forcing preventative measures. With these new attacks, the committee decides to implement robotic hunting units called the Guardians of Phanes.
Guardians of Phanes only continue to advance in technology, becoming far more developed than the original test models. Their hunts lead them to adventure outside of the biomes, further annihilating the already dwindling population on Earth. The war between worlds continues to this day, with Antares still hellbent on taking the Earth back.
