Carriables

The Parallax carriable system will only pertain to events! This page does not need to be referred to for the creation process as the items your character carries will change per event and their out-of-event inventory may be different and more flexible.

things to remember

  • Only 2 item slots allowed per event

  • Must be listed along with traits under the designated event post!

  • If you have an idea for an item, please let us know so we can discuss and potentially add it!

  • We’re in a trial period for this mechanic, therefore anything is subject to change and be adjusted!

general items

  • BANDAIDS

    Regular bandaids for your cuts and grazes. Offsets BLEED status for 2 rounds. Can be used up to 5 times per event.
     

  • NIGHT VISION GOGGLES 

    Grants player’s the ability to see in  the dark where others may not be able to be. 
     

  • LUCKY CHARM
    A small, pocket sized object that allows a player to reroll once per event.

     

  • RUNNING SHOES
    Grants an additional +2 to speed rolls.

     

  • SCOPE:
    Grants an additional +2 to attacks with firearms.

     

  • WHETSTONE: 
    Grants an additional +2 to attacks with blades.

     

  • PROTECTIVE VEST:
    Grants an additional +2 to defensive rolls.

     

  • BINOCULARS
    Adds +2 to all perception rolls.

     

  • SKIYTINE ARMOR PLATES

    • Adds +3 to DEF, -1 to speed
       

  • COLD CLIMATE HELMET

    • +2 Against Cold Climates
       

  • CAMPING GEAR

    • Grants a +2 against elements, specifically only if you’re camping.
       

  • LIFE VEST

    • Gain +2 to defense rolls

    • Gain immunity to low oxygen when in water

Medic items

  • MEDKITS

    A container filled with various medical supplies that can only be used by Medics in an emergency. The kit automatically heals up to 10 HP for Primary Medics and 5HP for Secondary Medics. It can be used once in general.
     

  • EMERGENCY STIMULANT

    An injectable that boosts a character’s energy and adrenaline temporarily for +2 movement rolls for 3 turns. This can only be used twice in general, but once per person.
     

  • TRANQUILIZERS

    Liquid darts that tranquilize a target and leave them incapacitated for 2 rounds. These are separate from Tranquilizer bullets attached to the tranquilizer trait and unlike those, these are limited to 3 units. 
     

  • ANTIDOTE KIT

    A kit full of various antidotes to combat poisons and toxins of the area. This item nullifies the POISON status for 2 uses and lasts as a protection against poison for 5 turns. 
     

  • MORPHINE SYRETTES

    A syrette used in emergency situations to offset pain. Can only be used when critical HP (5) is reached, will restore the recipient to 10HP. Single use.
     

  • COAGULANTS

    Medication used to halt bleeding. Will remove the BLEED status for the remainder of the event. Single use. 
     

  • NANOGEL
    A tube of gel that allows Medics to heal androids for up to 10hp for primary medics and 5hp for secondary medics.

Mechanic items

  • TOOLKIT

    A box full of various workshop tools perfect for multiple uses. These have multiple uses and include tools such as pliers, wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, various nuts and bolts, and screws. It has unlimited uses and gives a +2 to repair and disassemble various machinery and hardware.
     

  • ROBOTICS MANUAL 

    A Manual that holds various information regarding guards and known robotics units. This gives a character +2 to survey or analyse a robotic unit. It has unlimited uses.
     

  • PRYBAR

    A standard crowbar that can be used to open jammed or locked objects within two rounds. Removes the need to roll to unlocked/open things such as crates, lockers and boxes. It has unlimited uses. Cannot be used on doors.
     

  • EXPLOSIVES KIT

    A kit full of items that can be used up to 3 times to create or defuse an explosive without rolling. 
     

  • SUPERGLUE
    A tube of powerful glue that can be used as makeshift stitches to heal someone for up to 10hp. Has one use.

Intelligence items

  • EMP DEVICES

    Will completely disable a device. Miniature EMP emitter that can only be used once, must choose one source target. Cannot be used on guards.
     

  • SIGNAL/ELECTRICITY DISRUPTORS

    Will disable a device for 3 rounds. Will inflict STUNNED status onto Guards for 1 round. Three uses.
     

  • COMPUTER HACKING TECH

    Laptop, Tablet, Portable Hardware kit, Encrypted USB drive, these items can be used to either manually or digitally disable, hack, and download information from or shut down technology & systems. +3 to rolls against technology. Unlimited use.
     

  • DRONE

    A stealth drone meant for distraction and overhead scanning, in enemy territory. Gives a +1 to perception and +2 to distraction rolls.

Scout items

  • SPECIALIZED AMMO (INCENDIARY BULLETS, EXPLOSIVE BULLETS)
    - Incendiary bullets: Can be used to inflict BURN status and start fires. X5 per box.

    - Explosive bullets: Can be used to explode up to 3 enemies in an area upon impact. Enemies must roll a 1d10 against attack to judge damage. X3 per box.
     

  • EXPLOSIVES:

    A makeshift throwable object that explodes to create automatic area damage. Enemies must roll against the user to judge damage. Can be used up to 3 times.

  • BINOCULARS

    A pair of binoculars for seeing far and wide. Adds +2 to all perception rolls.
     

  • GHILLIE SUIT

    An external outfit that can be used to camouflage a character for +4 for sneak rolls.
     

  • THIRD WEAPON SLOT 

    A scout that selects this is able to carry an additional weapon of choice on top of their 2 weapon slots. 

special items

  • BROKEN MEDKIT

    • This item is currently unusable but can be repaired

    • This item is currently limited to Eden
       

  • TUNDRA UGGS

    • -1 to speed,  but immunity to FROSTBITE status.

    • This item is currently limited to Krusty
       

  • BACKUP WALKIES

    • If your comms system ever goes out, you can use a backup walkie to establish communications without rolling. 

    • This item is currently limited to Chuck, Claudia, KOB1 and Rhys
